The Trapezium multiple system illuminates the centre of M42 - the Orion Nebula.
Tycho and Clavius are almost fully illuminated on the 9th day as sunrise reaches Wilhelm and Longomontanus.
M13 in Hercules, often recognised as the finest globular cluster in northern skies.
Just before full Moon the elongated western limb craters of Phocylides and Bailly become visible.
The rich gold K2 and fainter blue B8 of Beta Cygni - Albireo - are now thought to be unassociated.
